Judea Committee Charter

To fulfill our part of “The Great Commission” by assisting and serving those individuals in our community and surrounding Metro Denver area in order to be a beacon of Light to them.

Through the Judea Committee, the work of the Body of Christ extends to our community.

Our 2007 – 2008 goals include:

Serving Our Community with projects such as cleaning up our community on Westminster Community Pride Day; campaigning to raise money for Life Choices Pregnancy Center – a Christ-centered local organization that provides help with pregnancy issues, promotes healing from outcomes of pregnancy decisions and encourages the community to embrace healthy lifestyles; participating in the Westminster Faire; developing an ESL class, hosting Bonfils Blood Drives and hosting the Adams County Resource Specialist Group in the fall.

Emergency Management & Response Team (ERMT) created to assist the general public and support City, County, State and National and International Emergency Services in emergency situations is also part of our 2007 – 2008 goals.  The ERMT has already been called into action in Holly.  Additionally, we are co-sponsoring a 20 hour Take PART (*P*reparedness, *A*wareness, *R*eadiness *T*raining) class in September 2007 and working towards becoming a Red Cross shelter.

Crossroads of the Rockies Work & Witness Project is a key project this fiscal year.  Crossroads of the Rockies is a local compassionate ministry established by the WCON NMI Council.  They serve the inner city Westwood neighborhood, where most people served are at a crossroads in their life, by providing food, clothing, mentoring, tutoring, and most importantly, the love of Christ.
