Judea Committee Charter

To fulfill our part of “The Great Commission” by assisting and serving those individuals in our community and surrounding Metro Denver area in order to be a beacon of Light to them.

Through the Judea Committee, the work of the Body of Christ extends to our community. 

Our 2011 – 2012 goals include:

Serving Our Community with projects such as cleaning up our community on Westminster Community Pride Day; campaigning to raise money for Life Choices Pregnancy Center – a Christ-centered local organization that provides help with pregnancy issues, promotes healing from outcomes of pregnancy decisions and encourages the community to embrace healthy lifestyles; supporting Jesus of Nazareth Ministries (JON); Sunday services for seniors at Sunrise Assisted Living; giving out school supplies at the Back-2-school Bash; hosting Bonfils Blood Drives and other "Serve Our Community" projects as led by God.

Upward Ministries is a Christ-centered sports program. We will turn our basketball courts into a mission field to reach children and their families, via basketball and cheerleading. Upward's focus is children's salvation, character and self-esteem. (See link below)

English as a Second Language (ESL) classes are offered in the Fall (Sept-Dec) and Winter (Jan-April) and are held on Mondays, 6-8 pm. 

Emergency Management & Response Team (EMRT) created to assist the general public and support City, County, State and National and International Emergency Services in emergency situations is also part of our 2010 – 2011 goals. Our EMRT has already been called into action in Holly and Windsor and serves as a shelter option for the City of Westminster, Adams County office of Emergency Management and the Mile High Chapter of the American Red Cross. 

Work & Witness Projects will allow us to reach out into our community to make a difference working together on a joint effort.
