Our Needs

 

The cost of fulfilling this vision will be great. The estimated cost of property is $6 million and an additional $8 million will be required to build the first phase of our new campus, including a larger Worship Center and a children's facility that will have kids insisting that their parents take them to church! In our master planning we want to develop facilities that will enable us to reach people from all generations. The balance of many souls, families, new churches, and eternal destinies hang on our willingness to respond to this monumental challenge.

 

Recognizing our current challenges, the WCON church board formed a six-member Land Search Task Force in the summer of 2005. The vision given by the board to direct the search included several key elements:

 

Visability: "On a hill, by a freeway..." To be a welcoming beacon to our community in a high-traffic area

 

Accessibility: To be regionally accessible from the north, south, east and west

 

Suitability: To stay close enough to our current location (ideally within 10 miles) as to not abandon our current congregation and community

 

Viability: To create a campus with a life span of at least 30 years in the heart of a growing and thriving commmunity

 

Expandability: To allow the facilities to grow along with the congregation and ministries fo the church, ideally on a campus of at least 30 - 40 acres

 

Affordability: To realize this vision by a miracle of God's grace working in His people to give sacrificially for His work
