Westminster Church of the Nazarene

Thank you for investigating further the ministry of WCON.  My name is Dr. Stan Reeder and I’m the senior pastor of the church.  I’m married to a beautiful and smart lady, Janet.  We’ve been best friends for over 25 years.  She is an exceptional leader, communicator, and motivator.  She is a Registered Nurse and serves as a manager in one of our community hospitals. 

We have two great sons:  Dig is a high school junior and Reed is in his second year of pre-med at Northwest Nazarene University.  As you can tell by their photo, they have a great sense of humor!

My pastoral experience involves ministering to churches in both Canada and the U.S. and my education includes several degrees from United States and Canada and study at Oxford University in England.

The Lord has impressed upon me His vision for WCON:  “to be a holy, positive, impact church.”  We want to make a holy, positive, impact on all of North Denver and beyond.  WCON is a church that was started almost 50 years ago and today I am passionate about reproducing what God is doing in this church by planting other new churches.  Our mission over the next 50 years is to start 500 churches and reach 500,000 people for Christ.  We are right on track, with God’s help, to accomplish this vision and mission!

If I am to serve as your pastor, I want to find ways to minister to you in a first-class and personal way.  I want God to use me in your life to help you become all that he dreams for you to be:  a holy, positive, impact follower of Jesus Christ!  If you allow me to be your pastor, I promise to serve you with a sense of humor and holiness!

I love living in Westminster, I love being a pastor (this is definitely what God had in mind when he knit my life together) and I’m excited about the great future God has in store.  WCON is a blessed church and the best days are yet to come.  I hope the Lord leads YOU to become part of what He is doing right here at WCON!
